Rich sauce containing a generous amount of cheese turns Malony into an Italian dish! Using Malony is an easy and effective way to reduce caloric intake!
Ingredients (1 servings)
50g/1.8oz Malony |
30g/1.1oz bacon |
1 egg yolk |
15g/0.5oz grated cheese |
60g/2.1oz fresh cream |
pinch of salt(1g/0.04oz) |
Pepper to taste |
2 tablespoons water used for boiling Malony |
Directions
1. | Boil Malony for 4 minutes to a texture a little harder than usual, put it in a colander, and drain off the water, retaining 2 tablespoons of the water for use in step 4. |
2. | Cut the bacon into 7mm/0.3in wide strips. |
3. | Pour olive oil into a frying pan and fry the bacon. |
4. | Put the egg yolk, grated cheese, fresh cream, salt, bacon and water used for boiling the Malony into a bowl and mix them well. Add Malony and toss it with the sauce. |
5. | Place the mixture in a serving dish and sprinkle with the pepper. |
* If it is difficult to untangle the Malony, add the water used for boiling it.
* You can also use a commercially-available Carbonara sauce.
